About Me

I am an aspiring Full Stack Developer who has finished his final year at DKIT with a First Class Honors (1:1) in Computing Level 8. I am very ambitious, hardworking and have great attention to detail. I learn quickly and believe I can adapt to any environment in a short period. I am great when it comes to teamwork and can also work very well independently as proven numerous times during college where I would have to work beyond my role to complete a project.

I always seek ways to improve how I work independently, in a team and try to motivate others around me. I can work without direct supervision as I have done so many times from college projects, to my internship to my freelance work. I believe I have great leadership skills and I am very easy to mentor and up skill.

I have experience working with agile software development methodology such as SCRUM and I use the Test-driven Development process when writing unit tests. I have experience applying many Universal Design Heuristics as recommended by the world renowned Norman Nielsen Group and Material Design Principles when working on the frontend and the SOLID and DRY Principles and other REST API and architecture best practices when working on the backend.

In my spare time I like to code and work as a freelancer for local and foreign companies which has lead to me greatly improving my requirements-to-software turnover skills over time. I am open to various roles in software engineering and I will make a great impact anywhere I am placed.

Coding Skills

HTML5

I am able to use HTML5 to create the basic structure for any app or website that you might need.

CSS3

While not my strongest skill, I can style a website to suit your needs. I am most familiar with using the Bootstrap framework.

JavaScript

JavaScript, particularly ES6, is my strongest skill. I can build whatever you need from an e-commerce system, an employee management system to a booking system.

Cordova + Ionic 4

When it comes to building apps, I combine the functionality provided by Cordova to add native functionality to an app and Ionic to make it look native.

NodeJS

For my 4th year project, I have decided to learn NodeJS. While still a beginner, I can create whatever backend architecture and functionality requested of me.

MongoDB

I have only recently picked up MongoDB but if your projects requires a non-relational, fast database, I can easily organize your projects data to be stored in a MongoDB database.

PHP

PHP was my go to backend language until I learned NodeJS in 2020. I have many great projects built with PHP such as the Lucky Draw website and the Prometric Site Management website.

MySQL

When using PHP, I always use MySQL. I am able to use MySQL to organize your projects information in a database no matter how complex it is.

Android

I also possess experience working with Android through Java. If a hybrid app using Cordova + Ionic won't do, I can always create the same app natively.

Java

Web Technologies are my strongest point but if a job requires me using Java I have experience and knowledge of Java to pick it up fast and get the task done.

Blockchain

In my 4th year of college, I built an app that utilizes the Hyperledger Fabric blockchain. If required, I can incorporate blockchain technology into your project.

C++

Not my strongest area but if needed, I do have the experience with C and C++ to pick up on it fast for a particular niche in a product.

I have never encountered a problem that I was not able to fix or functionality that I could not implement. I will always find a solution to your problem.

Work ethic

I am a perfectionist, I will not stop until your project has been completed to the highest standard possible.

Leadership

I have experience leading agile teams from my college experience where I lead a team through the full software development lifecycle simultaneously supporting and improving the programming skills of my team members.

Teamwork

I can work well alone however for those jobs that require a team, I have much experience working in an Agile environment with team members with different skills and experience gaps.

Communication

I can communicate a project, task or my progress to a client, team member or manager clearly, concisely and to the point.

Working without direct supervision

I have the experience to perform a job perfectly without needing to be directly told what to do or supervised.

Time management

My time management has been impeccable. Throughout 4th year, I was able to freelance while completing all college work to the highest of standards.

Organizational

I am very organized, I organize all my tasks based on order of importance, due date and when I have received them if there is no due date ensuring quick completion.

Created and designed a user centered website for a local construction company allowing the business owner to advertise their business, projects and services. Owner can modify the content of the website through an admin panel.

Created a website and implemented a 3rd party booking system for a brand new barber shop due to the COVID-19 pandemic to facilitate online bookings for haircuts to avoid standing in line. Performed SEO and setup the entire online presence of this business.
